Parents Drunk With Anger Over Bourbon Chips
Australian News reports that Jim Beam is producing bourbon-flavored potato chips. Sounds good, right? Well not if you’re a parent. Despite the fact that they contain zero alcohol, the chips were being sold in a grocery store where children have access to them. Activists say that they send a dangerous message to young consumers.
A Jim Beam spokesman said the chips were targeted at adults and “predominantly” sold in liquor stores. The grocery store in question was unaware the product was meant for licensed premises and has since pulled the chips off of the shelf.
I’m very sorry, kids. You would have looked so sophisticated with those chips in hand and a pack of candy cigarettes in the other.
